Most schools have to deal with the problem of limited resources. There is only so much money, and it must be divided up between different school programs. This often means that difficult choices must be made. In the case of computers versus library books, I think that everyone would agree that both are valuable resources for students. However, given the current state of technology and the changes in how people communicate and find information, I believe that a school should spend its money on purchasing computers for students to use rather than more library books.
One reason for my opinion is that knowledge of computers is increasingly important in today’s society. Without this knowledge, a graduate may find it difficult to work well or even find a job. In view of the necessity of computer proficiency these days, I believe that schools should make every effort to make students familiar with computers. Another reason is that the way people research problems and communicate with each other has greatly changed in the last decade. It. is now possible to find information quickly and efficiently by using a computer. In addition, students can write up their findings and send them to others via computer. Having every resource book available in the school library may no longer be necessary.
In conclusion, it is my belief that computers are an important resource for students today. They cannot replace books, but they can help students learn in a very effective and efficient way. Therefore, I think that schools should spend more money on computer equipment than on library books.
