A new university brings both advantages and disadvantages to the community in 4iich it is built. If the government were to establish in my community, we would have to consider both the benefits and the drawbacks carefully. One obvious benefit would be the advantage of having university facilities close by. A university would offer an excellent library and sports facilities, for example. Another benefit to the community would be that local students would not have to commute long distances or live away from home while they attended university. This would save them both time and money. But perhaps the most important benefit a university would bring to the community would be a younger, more dynamic atmosphere. Universities are exciting places filled with new ideas and hopes.

However, along with these benefits would conic some drawbacks. For example, my community would become much more crowded if a university were established in it. There would be many students living in a small space and this would bring the problems of noise, traffic and trash. In addition, new businesses geared to the young would likely move into the community as well. There would be more coffee shops, stores and pubs. This would contribute to the growing congestion and might make some people feel the community had lost its family atmosphere. Despite these shortcomings, I still believe that a new university would be a beneficial addition to my community. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion.
