Libraries are indeed blessings in the modem world. Books, even in this age of cheap literature, cost, money and there are many poor people who cannot afford even the price of the cheap edition. They can read, and they crave for knowledge, but they cannot satisfy their thirst because they cannot afford a book. It is for such people that libraries are more useful.
There is no doubt that libraries are great blessings and when the books are wisely selected, they have a great educational value, and have done much to encourage the habit of reading among the working classes. Of course, most of the books are novels and most of the people are novel-readers,but three is not much harm in this, as the sound fiction is not only a source of amusement and but is also a means of broadenlng one's mind and learning more about life and human nature.
