EVS3 PLEASE WELCOME THE CORN PARTY

15th July our school celebrate 2010 Boiled Corn Party. This party is a part of our school culture as a schoolgirl named Saveun Chea mentioned in the movie.

We always celebrate every season before the summer vacation is coming. The corn was planted since May 12^th, 2010 till today July 15^th, 2010. The corn field located behind the school and it was planted by schoolchildren under the leading of the school principle named Yeng Yem. Now the corn is full enough to harvest, talking about the corn, some are big and other are small, that simple because of its crowing. So today many of the students are ready catch out the corn from the corn tree to boil and grill. And now some of them are taking the wood, and another are washing the pot to boil the corn. As we can see, they are really happy to join with the corn party. Remember that, we are really lucky too, because we have a very nice field behind the school to plant the corn and other vegetables.

Under the request of the school principal of the Rainbow-Kawasaki School named Sidau and the Ausinlè Community leader for 4 rooms of teacher house. Mr. Rick Dyck and Dr. Kawasaki agreed and supported with this proposal.

After preparing the materials for the construction about a month, the project started in 23 May 2010.

The Ezra Vogel Special Skills School and The Rainbow-Kawasaki School received 370 USD of donation from the event of the School of Miraizu. Thank you very much Professor Izumi and her friends for baking 350 cookies to sell for donation!
